Devi's Fall,One Historical Fall in Pokhara

Devi's Fall is a famous tourism place of pokhara.It lies on approx.5 km
Far from central market of pokhara city on the western part.
Water coming from phewa lake vanishes into the earth at Devi's Fall.
Locally it is known as Patale Chhago.It has covered a lenght of 500 meters
underground water flow with adepth of 100 feets.
Fall becomes more attractive on days of June,July,August and September.


It was the day of 31st july 1961 A.D......


One couple from Swiss entered to the stangnant water of the upper falling
part of fall,Phewa lake.Suddenly a floodgates were opened and the
flood from lake swept away Mrs.Devis who was having a bath with her husband beside it.
She was flowed and dead.She was recovered after a long attempt since then.
It has been taken its name "Devi's Fall".
